Kelton Stepanowich


Kelton Stepanowich is a Métis/Cree screenwriter, film director and producer. He is best known for directing the short film Gods Acre. His films have been shown at the International Film Festivals in Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto, Whistler, Seattle, and Vancouver, and at the Maoriland Film Festival in New Zealand, FlickerFest Film Festival and ImagineNative Film Festival, Danforth East Short Film Festival.

Early life and educaiton

Stepanowich was born Janvier, Alberta to a part-Cree family. His family later moved to Fort McMurray, where he began making short films. He is a self-taught artist who has also worked as a production assistant on several sets including Prairie Dog Film.
