Kenneth Sullivan


Kenneth Marc Sullivan is an American businessman, and the CEO and president of Smithfield Foods, the world's largest pig and pork producer.
Sullivan earned a bachelor's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Sullivan has been CEO and president of Smithfield Foods since December 2015. He has been a director of Smithfield Foods and its Chinese parent company WH Group since January 2016.
The Smithfield pork processing facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the US's largest single source of COVID-19 cases, closed on April 15, and Sullivan wants it to re-open as soon as possible, "For the security of our nation, I cannot understate how critical it is for our industry to continue to operate unabated". On April 16, 2020, the Wall Street Journal reported Sullivan's statement, "The right thing for Americans is that we operate these plants".
