Keyvan Mohajer

Keyvan Mohajer is an Iranian-Canadian computer scientist and entrepreneur, best known for being the founder and CEO of SoundHound.

Life and education

Born in Iran, Mohajer moved to Canada at a young age. He completed his BS at the University of Toronto in 2000 and his MS and PhD at Stanford University in 2005.

He founded a number of dot com ventures including InsuranceHotline.com and Zumo Software. Since 2005, he has been the founder and CEO of SoundHound Inc, an audio and speech recognition company which develops voice-recognition, natural language understanding, sound-recognition and search technologies. Its feature products are Houndify, Hound, and SoundHound.
