Kia Pegg


Kia May Pegg is an English actress, who is most well known for her role as Jody Jackson in British children's drama show Tracy Beaker Returns and its follow-up The Dumping Ground. Jody Jackson is one of the longest running characters in the series. She has also been a guest star in the CBBC HQ and guest starred on Hacker Time and CBBC's Saturday Mashup.

Early and personal life

Pegg was born in Birmingham in 2000 to boxing trainer and promoter, Jonathan and Rachel Pegg and has two younger brothers. Pegg attended Gossey Lane Junior School and then CTC Kingshurst Academy. Pegg lives in Tile Cross with her family.

Career

Pegg began training at Birmingham Stage School Showbiz. Pegg has been in many different shows, and has been acting since a very young age. Her most popular role is that of Jody Jackson in CBBC dramas Tracy Beaker Returns & The Dumping Ground. She has got her career from her amazing drama teacher inspiring her to reach for the stars and that the sky is her limit. On recognizing it is easy to remember lines being an actress was her first shot.
In 2008, she made an appearance on The Legend of Dick and Dom, as well as a small role in in which she played Vicious Vicky, also known as Sour Susan's younger sister. Pegg has also been in the film The Quiet One as a character called Peewee, this film was produced for film festivals. The other film she was in was entitled Toast, in which she played The Milk Girl.
In 2014, Pegg was nominated for a BAFTA in the performance category, for her role as Jody in the second series of The Dumping Ground.
