Kinnagoe Bay


Kinnagoe Bay is a secluded beach in Inishowen, County Donegal, Ireland. It is known for being the location of the wreck of the Armada ship La Trinidad Valencera on 16 September 1588, in memory of which a plaque is mounted. The beach is accessible by a weaving road from the top of the hill. There is a small car park at the beach which gets very busy during the summer. The sat nav coordinates for the car park are N 55° 15.517", W 07° 00.770".
It is one of the places of interest on the Inishowen 100 scenic route.

Fishing

Kinnagoe Bay attracts fisherman from all around Ireland. The wreck of "La Trinidad Valencera" is favoured by many fish, which can be caught by either spinning from the rocks or casting from the beach. They include pollack, wrasse, coalfish, dogfish, bass, flounder and others.
