La Salle is a city in Watonwan County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 87 at the 2010 census.

History

La Salle was platted in 1899, and named for René-Robert Cavelier, Sieur de La Salle, a French explorer of North America. A post office has been in operation at La Salle since 1900.

As of the census of 2010, there were 87 people, 42 households, and 18 families residing in the city. The population density was. There were 45 housing units at an average density of. The racial makeup of the city was 93.1% White, 1.1% African American, 1.1% Native American, 1.1% from other races, and 3.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.6% of the population.

The median age in the city was 41.5 years. 19.5% of residents were under the age of 18; 8% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 26.4% were from 25 to 44; 26.3% were from 45 to 64; and 19.5% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 58.6% male and 41.4% female.
