Lalkuan is a Nagar Panchayat in the Nainital district of the Indian state of Uttarakhand.

Lalkuan is an important railway junction of NER and serves as gateway to Kumaun region of Uttarakhand. Many important long-distance trains originate from Lalkuan. Some of the short distance trains also originate from here to Bareilly, Moradabad and Kashipur.
