Launch Unit
Launch-U is a proposed size/mass class standard for small satellites. At a size of and, it is approximately half way between the cubesat and the EELV Secondary Payload Adapter class satellite. The launch direction is notionally along the long axis. As with other classes, any launch adapter is within the size envelope.
The standard was proposed by The Aerospace Corporation, at the 32nd Small Satellite Conference, in August 2018.
