New building

In 2014 it was confirmed that a state-of-the-art new school building would be built on the site, to replace the ageing facility that is currently in place. In May 2014 the contract to build the facility was appointed to Miller Construction. Miller will be responsible for the design and construction of the schools as well as the provision of maintenance and life-cycle services over a 25-year period.
The build was then taken over by the Priority School Building Programme and the new building, built by Galliford Try, was open to students September 2016.
