Leila Sujir

Leila Sujir is a Canadian video artist.

Life

Sujir was born in 1951 in Hyderabad India. She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1956. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature from the University of Alberta in 1971. Sujir is an associate professor of Intermedia in the studio arts department of Concordia University.

Sujir is known for her video works examining cultural origin and difference.
