Auguste attended Newburgh Free Academy in Newburgh, New York. While there, Auguste played both basketball and football.After high school, Auguste attended Hudson Valley Community College in Troy, New York, where he played football for two seasons. He played both tight end and offensive line, earning team MVP honors his sophomore season.Buffalo
Auguste continued played college football when he signed with the University of Buffalo, where he started for two seasons as the Bulls' right tackle.
