List of Kamen Rider 555 characters


This is a list of the fictional characters that appear throughout the Japanese tokusatsu series Kamen Rider 555. These characters play a major role within the series and often influence many key events.

West Washing Shop Kikuchi

is a laundry business store owned by Keitaro's family where Takumi, Mari, and Kusaka lives and works with Keitaro.

Takumi Inui

Takumi Inui is the main wearer of the Faiz Gear, though reluctantly at first, enabling him to transform into. He is also often teased by Mari for being a "nekojita".
Prior to the events of the series, Takumi became an Orphnoch when he was hit by a car as a boy. As the, Takumi wanted to use his new-found power to protect people. However, his attempt to save the Ryusei School students from the massacre caused by Kitazaki, and an implanted memory that he caused the event, forced Takumi to isolate himself from others out of fear of betraying them. By chance, Takumi encounters Mari and followed her on the notion that the bag she carried was the one stolen from him three days prior, getting caught up in her war with the Orphnoch as he reluctantly transforms into Kamen Rider Faiz to fight off the Orphnochs pursuing her for the Faiz Gear. Takumi ends up becoming Mari's bodyguard as they arrive in Tokyo and starts working at Keitaro's shop to pay her back for helping him with a traffic fine. Overtime, having numerous conflicts with Kusaka and the Horse Orphnoch, Takumi accepts his role as Faiz. After he learns that the Horse Orphnoch's human identity is Yuji Kiba, he finds him to be a kindred spirit that also desires to protect humans, despite being an Orphnoch.
Eventually, Takumi's true nature as an Orphnoch is revealed and he learns the truth of his role in the Ryusei School massacre as he fights with renewed resolve. At the end of the series, Takumi settles his rivalry with Kiba as they manage to defeat the Arch Orphnoch together. ' later revealed that Takumi eventually died burning up the last of his life force before Shocker altered the timeline to create an alternate scenario in ' where Takumi renounced fighting over guilt of not being saving Kusaka from Kiba. While he refused an offer by Tsukasa Kadoya to join with other Heisei era Riders to fight the Underground Empire Badan and the Showa era Kamen Riders, a series of events and an encounter with Keisuke Jin convinces Takumi to take up the mantle of Faiz to protect Shu Aoi, while eventually move on with his life. While Takumi later corrected the timeline in the events of Kamen Rider 4, his death was averted again in Kamen Rider Zi-O as the result of him never becoming an Orphnoch and acquiring the Faiz Gear.

Mari Sonoda

is a member of the Ryusei School who was sent the Faiz Gear and Auto Vajin by their father, but was unable to use them. She insists that Takumi accompany her and use the Faiz Gear to fight Orphnochs. She always believes the good in her friends, even Sawada and Takumi after she found out they were Orphnochs as well. She dreams of becoming a beautician.

Keitaro Kikuchi

is a young man that Mari and Takumi meet by chance not long after receiving the Faiz Gear. Keitaro and his family are dry cleaners and it's his dream to make everyone in the world happy. As such, he lets Mari and Takumi stay with him and work at his family's dry cleaning business for room and board in hopes that he can encourage them to use the Faiz Gear for good. He also seem to have an Orphnoch allergy, though he thinks he is allergic to people with bad hearts. He exchanges cell phone e-mails with his penpal, Yuka, and becomes infatuated with her in real life, although he doesn't realize that they are the same person until later in the series.

Masato Kusaka

is a member of Ryusei School who was apparently absent from the reunion, but signed the autograph card. Kusaka is also a childhood friend of Mari, having fallen in love with her after she once saved him from bullies to the point of destroying any obstacles between them. To that end, Kusaka uses the Kaixa Gear to become to destroy the Orphnochs with extreme prejudice for the events that occurred at the Ryusei School reunion, having developed a compulsion to wipe his hands of the blood he imagined spilled that night. Unlike his other classmates who used the Kaixa Gear and disintegrated soon after, Kusaka had a great deal of more Orphnoch DNA implanted into him to resist the fatal side effects of Kamen Rider Gears. Despite him and Takumi having a common enemy, Kusaka considered him an enemy as he once stole the Faiz Gear to attack Kiba. Kusaka also once used the Delta Gear to battle the Beetle Orphnoch. Eventually, Kusaka begins to suffer the effects of the Kaixa Gear as it becomes increasingly harmful to him. In the end, Kusaka is killed by Kiba with no one aware of his death.
In Heisei Rider vs. Shōwa Rider: Kamen Rider Taisen feat. Super Sentai, Masato's death was redone to have him killed by Kiba during Faiz's fight with the Arch Orphnoch. Kusaka dies in hateful regret that Takumi lives despite not having anyone to protect. That event forced Takumi to renounce fighting, later seeing the spirit of Kusaka who manipulates him to revive him, but Haruto Soma and Keisuke Jin manage to convince Takumi to move on from his survival guilt, causing Kusaka's spirit to disappear. In Kamen Rider Zi-O, Masato's death was completely negated with the removal of the Orphnochs and the Kaixa Gear from his timeline.
In the Paradise Lost movie, Kusaka's death was at the hands of Kamen Rider Psyga with his Kaixa Driver destroyed soon after.

Ryusei School

The is a group of orphans fostered by the former Chief of Smart Brain, Hanagata, and were schooled under their teacher, portrayed by. These students became known as the. Shortly before the series started they attended a reunion, with all students killed and resurrected as Smart Brain's "hope", with only Kusaka having memories of the night intact. They each were sent the three Rider Gears: Mari obtaining Faiz and the bulk under Mr. Masuda obtaining Kaixa. The members other than Mari and Kusaka include:

Shuji Mihara

is a relatively cowardly member of Ryusei School who would rather forget about Orphnochs and go back to living a normal life. He would become the default wearer of the Delta Gear and fight as despite his cowardice. After Rina was hit by a truck retrieving the Delta case he had thrown into the street, he resolved to stop running and fight alongside the others.

Others

The are the series kaijin; they are humans who are reborn as zombie-like beings either naturally or by Smart Brain. Their goal is to annihilate humanity either by turning other humans into more Orphnoch or killing them off completely. However, there are those who believe that they can still live as humans; those who possessed that mindset become targets for elimination by Smart Brain.

Yuji Kiba

is a young man who becomes the after dying as a result of a car crash, although he lived in a comatose state for two years. Upon awakening, Kiba finds his life in ruins from his uncle selling his family's company to his girlfriend Chie Morishita leaving him for his cousin Kazuaki Kiba. This causes Kiba to murder his cousin out of uncontrolled rage, and later Chie for selling him out, turning to Smart Brain for protection. But Kiba quickly comes to deplore Smart Brain's tactics and resolves to become an Orphnoch who will protect humans and fight Smart Brain, yet ends up fighting Faiz due to a misunderstanding between them both there they later learned each other's true identity and intent. But after he believed Yuka to have been killed by the police, killing Kusaka for his Kaixa Driver, Kiba discards his ideals and eventually replaces Murakami as the chairman of Smart Brain. Kiba's faith in humanity is eventually restored after his final battle with Takumi, later sacrificing himself to enable Faiz to defeat the Arch Orphnoch.
In the film Paradise Lost, Kiba is brainwashed by the Smart Brain corporation and is chosen to be the user of the Orga Gear, allowing him to transform into. The Orga gear was recorded as the fifth Rider Gear created by Smart Brain, after the Faiz and Kaixa Gears were stolen by the humans and the Riotrooper gear had undergone mass-production. Created alongside the Psyga Gear, the Orga Gear is regarded as a "perfect" gear, and therefore it can only be worn by Orphnochs. Kamen Rider Orga has a more ornate appearance than any of the previous Gears, the Rider form having robes made of Soul Foam for a majestic appearance. Orga is armed with the Orga Stlanzer sword which he uses in the Orga Slash Extreme Charge. He is sent to fight Kamen Rider Faiz after Psyga is defeated. Faiz is finally able to defeat Kamen Rider Orga with Blaster Forms Rider Kick, but does not kill him. Instead, Orga dies while trying to hold off the Elasmotherium Orphnoch so Faiz can destroy it.

Yuka Osada

is a teenage girl who is bullied terribly by her younger sister and other girls in her school and basketball team. Yuka's parents favored her sister over her. After suffering extreme emotional stress she falls down snow covered stairs and revives as the, and slaughters the entire basketball team, her sister included. She meets Kiba, and agrees with his ideals of protecting humans, although occasionally kills humans who seem bad without others knowing. She exchanged e-mails with Keitaro before becoming an Orphnoch, and seemed to have a semi-romantic relationship. She later developed a strong crush on Kaido, though he did not reciprocate.

Naoya Kaido

is a young man sired the by Eiichi Toda, the temporary chief of Smart Brain, to make an example to Kiba and Yuka of how Orphnochs must make allies. He is an overly eccentric person prone to incredibly fast speeches and constant mood swings. He played the guitar in his younger days, but sabotage by his teacher destroyed some of the motorskills in his left hand, forcing him to abandon his music. After struggling with his nature as an Orphnoch, Kaido ends up living with Kiba and Yuka, although he is the least concerned about protecting humans. At times he sides with Smart Brain over Kiba and Yuka, but his powerful conscience often stops him from committing heinous acts at the last second. He temporarily used the Faiz Gear and the Smart Buckle in the series. In the film Paradise Lost, Kaido confesses to Yuka then gets eaten by the Elasmotherium Orphenoch.

Smart Brain

A company that is a front for a group of Orphnochs dedicated to overthrowing humanity, is ironically where the Rider Gears were developed from. This is the largest coordinated group of Orphnochs ever seen, and in Paradise Lost they seem to have formed a de facto government after the Orphnoch revolution.

Kyoji Murakami

is the, Murakami replaced the temporary chief of Smart Brain, Eiichi Toda, after Toda was defeated by Faiz. He was later overthrown from his position by Hanagata and was replaced by Kiba. In Paradise Lost he has somehow been reduced to a head in a tank, although he still commands a high place in Smart Brain.

Hanagata

is the Ryusei School's foster father, the former chief of Smart Brain, and the. He also created the three Rider belts. He disappeared because he discovered that he was dying from his evolution into an Orphnoch, taking the Rider Gears with him and sending them to surviving members of Ryusei School. He returned to Smart Brain to strip the acting chief of his duties and appointed Kiba as the permanent head of the company before he finally dies.

Smart Lady

is the "mascot" of Smart Brain, she works closely under the orders of the company's chief and helps fledgling Orphnochs. She never exhibits Orphnoch powers, and her species is left ambiguous. She acts friendly and playful towards the many workers at Smart Brain, although she doesn't realize that no one enjoys her company.

Leo

is a foreign Orphnoch who is given the Psyga Gear by the Smart Brain corporation, allowing him to transform into, who leads the Orphnochs in their crusade exterminate humanity under the personal supervision of the Kyoji Murakami. It is not stated in the film which Orphnoch Leo is; in the S.I.C Hero Saga prequel story Lost World, he is the first Lion Orphnoch.
Created alongside the Orga Gear, the Psyga Gear is regarded as a "perfect" gear, and therefore it can only be worn by Orphnochs, with its overall capabilities appears to be as fast and strong as the existing Gears, nearly matching Kamen Rider Faiz Axel Form for speed and exceeded Kaixa for strength. Because the weapons appear once the armor is formed and are created based on trial data from the previous gears, it possesses much greater functionality and ability than the previous Riders. Psyga also has the Flying Attacker jetpack that he uses to travel with. It also acts as one of Psyga's weapons, transforming into a "Blaster Rifle Mode" in which the engines turn into either rapid fire ray guns or discharge a single blast of energy. Psyga is also armed with the Psyga Tonfa Edges, which are used in his "Tonfa Edge EX" Exceed Charge attack. Despite his more advanced Rider gear, the more experienced Faiz hits the Sparkle Cut through the Gear itself and into Leo's stomach, destroying the Gear and killing Leo, reducing him to dust.
