Great Khans and Yuan dynasty
Before Kublai Khan announced the dynastic name "Great Yuan" in 1271, Khagans of the Mongol Empire already started to use the Chinese title of Emperor practically in the Chinese language since Genghis Khan.With the establishment of the Yuan dynasty in 1271, the Kublaids became Yuan emperors, who were considered as Khagan for the Mongols and Huangdi for native Chinese.
