List of Thunderbirds episodes


This is an episode guide for the 1960s British Supermarionation television series Thunderbirds, produced by AP Films between 1964 and 1965 and first broadcast on ITV network between 1965 and 1966. Two feature films based upon the series were released in 1966 and 1968 and, in 2015, a series of three special episodes were produced to mark the series' 50th anniversary.
All series one and two episodes were released on Region 2 DVD by Carlton in 2000 and 2001. A Region 1 box set by A&E Home Video followed in 2002. The series was released on Blu-ray Disc in 2008.

Television series

Series One (1965–66)

Series One of Thunderbirds comprised 26 episodes, each 50 minutes long. Episodes are listed in the official order published by distributor ITC Entertainment, which matches the order of production.

Series Two (1966)

Series Two comprised six 50-minute episodes. Episodes are listed in the official order published by distributor ITC Entertainment, which matches the order of production.

Anniversary Episodes (2015)

In 2015, to celebrate the series' 50th anniversary, the ITC Entertainment Group licensed Pod 4 Films to produce three new episodes of Thunderbirds based on original 1960s mini-album soundtracks. Funding was sought through Kickstarter and the specials were produced by a crew composed of new and original Thunderbirds team members. The Stately Homes Robberies was directed by David Elliott - his first new episode in 49 years. These episodes are now part of the ITV / ITC archive alongside the original 32 episodes, and are collectively known as 'The Anniversary Episodes'.

Two Thunderbirds feature films were released in the 1960s.

Compilation films

Between 1980 and 1982, three compilation films were produced. Each of these comprised re-edited versions two of the original TV episodes and were released on VHS by PolyGram and its subsidiary Channel 5 Video.

Audio episodes

Century 21 Records, a Century 21 subsidiary established in September 1965, released 19 Thunderbirds audio dramas in the form of 7-inch, 33 RPM, vinyl EP "mini-albums" between 1965 and 1967. Sixteen are adapted from original TV episode soundtracks, cut to a running time of 21 minutes and including additional narration from a member of the original voice cast performing in character; the other three are new adventures.
Voice actors Peter Dyneley, David Graham and Sylvia Anderson featured in all three original dramas, Ray Barrett in two and Shane Rimmer in one. Two recordsF.A.B. and The Stately Homes Robberiesare narrated from the point of view of Lady Penelope and Parker, and feature original songs composed by Barry Gray. In 1990, BBC Radio 5 transmitted eight of the adaptations, in a revised form, as a radio mini-series.
