List of communities in Manitoba by population


This is a list of the largest communities in Manitoba, according to the 2016 Census of Canada, with populations of 1,000 persons or over. This list excludes all "rural municipalities" and other "municipalities"/"districts" in Manitoba, since they are not considered "urban communities," but includes all cities, towns, villages, northern communities, designated places and local urban districts, population centres, and Indian reserves with a population of at least 1,000.
Note, many of these communities have other bordering communities such as Indian reserves and local urban districts by the same name - these sub-communities are listed along with the largest community of that name, Norway House.
Population centres refers to an area with a population of at least 1,000 and a density of 400 or more people per square kilometre.
