This is a list of trolleybus systems in Italy by Regione. It includes all trolleybus systems, past and present.
articulated trolleybus no. 563, now withdrawn, operated on the Milan trolleybus system.

Construction of a new system, to Montesilvano, began in 2009, but has since been suspended several times. However, in 2018 the first section of completed wiring was tested by a trolleybus loaned from the Chieti trolleybus system. After cancellation of the original vehicle order, a new vehicle order was placed in 2019.
