Litgrid
Litgrid is a transmission system operator in located in Vilnius, Lithuania. It is a subsidiary of EPSO-G AB, which owns 97.5% of its shares.
Litgrid AB was registered on 16 November 2010. Since 22 December 2010, the company has been listed on the NASDAQ OMX Vilnius stock market. Litgrid was unbundled from Lietuvos Energija in September 2012.
Litgrid is responsible for the electric power transmission, the system balancing, and the electricity market development in Lithuania. It is responsible for the electricity cross-border links with neighboring countries, including, NordBalt and LitPol Link. It is also preparing the Harmony Link connection between Lithuania and Poland.
Together with Latvian and Estonian transmission system operators Augstsprieguma tīkls and Elering, Litgrid is planning to move the Baltic electricity grid from BRELL to the synchronous electricity grid of Continental Europe by 2025.
