Loanne Bishop


Loanne Bishop is an American actress, of film and television.

Career

Loanne Bishop started her acting career in 1979 appearing mostly in television series. Most notably she played the character of Rose Kelly in numerous episodes of the famous TV daytime soap opera General Hospital from 1980 until 1984. Rose ran Kelly's Diner on the waterfront with her husband, Paddy Kelly. In 1984 she was nominated for the Daytime Emmy Award as Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
In 1985 she landed a part in the made-for-TV movie Hostage Flight which fomented a well-publicized controversy when first aired by NBC in November of the same year. In it she played a flight attendant on a hijacked US domestic flight who is viciously murdered in flight by one of the terrorists.
From 1987 until 1988 she appeared in 18 episodes of Santa Barbara.
Until present Bishop's main body of work continues to be in television, mostly guest starring in episodes of numerous well-known, successful TV series, with supplementary work in film.
