Lockers Park School


Lockers Park School is a day and boarding preparatory school for boys and co-educational pre-preparatory school, situated in 23 acres of countryside in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire. Its current headmaster is Christopher Wilson.

History

Lockers Park was founded in 1874 by Henry Montagu Draper, an alumnus of Rugby School. It is built on of parkland surrounding a significant Georgian house, called The Lockers, which still exists as apartments and was the home of the Collett family. The new school was designed by Sidney Scott and it has its own chapel which dates from the same era.
In the 1940s and 1950s, the veteran England all-round cricketer Frank Woolley was the school's cricket coach.
