Lord Grey Academy


Lord Grey Academy is a comprehensive co-educational Academy in West Bletchley, Milton Keynes.

General Information

Lord Grey has four school houses: Lorenz, Enigma, Colossus and Turing, whose names relate to World War II code-breaking work at Bletchley Park.

History

Lord Grey opened in 1973 as a community comprehensive school following the amalgamation of Bletchley Grammar and Wilton Secondary schools. New accommodation was provided to supplement the existing facilities. The school was incorporated as a Grant Maintained School on 1 April 1993 and moved to Foundation status on 1 September 1999, under the New Framework for Schools.
On 1 April 2018 the school changed its name to Lord Grey Academy and became part of the Tove Learning Trust, which is also part of the SWAN Teaching School Alliance.

2017 - Present Day

The school was judged Good by Ofsted in 2014.
