Louis Temporale


Louis Temporale, CM is an Italian–Canadian sculptor.
He lived in Hamilton, Ontario for ten years, and died in Port Credit, a neighbourhood in Mississauga.

Public artwork sculptor Elizabeth Wyn Wood said, in 1939, that "there is no finer stone carver in the world" than Temporale.. It was in 1938-39 he was comissioned to create a 13 panel limestone bas relief carvings depicting Communications & Transportation on the side of the new Toronto Postal Delivery Building (which is now the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. He also created other carvings utilized in the facade of the building.
In 1991, he was made a Member of the Order of Ontario and the Order of Canada. He was a member of the Ontario Society of Artists.
