Lower Mead

Lower Mead was a football stadium in Harrow, north west London. It was the home ground of Wealdstone football club for nearly 70 years. The club sold the site to Tesco following financial troubles in 1991, after which a Tesco supermarket was built at the site.
The stadium was surrounded by rows of shops and a cinema on Station Road, at the northern end of Harrow town centre and south of the district of Wealdstone. There were almost no car and coach parking facilities.
After the club left Lower Mead, they entered a groundshare agreement initially with Watford F.C., followed by Yeading F.C., Edgware Town F.C. and finally Northwood F.C. before gaining a permanent home ground in Ruislip called Grosvenor Vale, 3 miles away from Lower Mead.
