Lutjanus malabaricus

Lutjanus malabaricus, the Malabar blood snapper or saddletail snapper, is a marine fish native to the western Pacific, where it is found east to Fiji and Japan, and Indian Ocean, where it occurs west to the Persian Gulf and Arabian Sea. It extends south in Australian waters to Shark Bay in Western Australia and Sydney in New South Wales.
It can be distinguished from the scarlet snapper by its larger head and mouth.
