Märtha Leth

Märtha Leth was a Swedish pharmacist. She was the first woman in Sweden to graduate as a pharmacist, which she did from the Pharmaceutic Institute in Stockholm in 1897.
Previously, the widows of the apothecaries had been allowed to inherited the license of their late husbands, but this had been banned in 1873 and a personal license and qualified education demanded ever since, an education which was opened to women in 1891.
