MILF (2018 film)


MILF is a 2018 French comedy film directed by Axelle Laffont, written by Jérôme L'hotsky and Stéphane Kramer and starring Marie-Josée Croze, Virginie Ledoyen and Axelle Laffont. The film was released in France on 2 May 2018.

Premise

The film, directed by Axelle Laffont, who also plays Elise, follows a trio of forty-something women who begin dating younger men while on vacation. The trio, Sonia, Cécile, and Elise, are friends who go to the Côte d'Azur in the south of France to help Cécile prepare her vacation home to be sold.
During their vacation, they meet 3 younger men in their twenties -- Julien, Paul, and Markus, a former family friend of Cécile, who work at a local sailing club who show immediate interest in the women who are deemed "MILFs". The 6 of them spend a lot of time together as a summer fling and the movie ends on their last day on vacation.
The film also features Laffont's daughter, Mitty Hazanavicius, who plays her daughter, Nina who visits her mother for a couple of days.

Cast

MILF was released in France on 2 May 2018. It made $417,231 from 249 theaters in its opening weekend, finishing in 10th. The film went on to gross $961,745 in France, and a combined $174,890 from the Ukraine and Russia, for a worldwide gross of $1.1 million. The film was released on Netflix in the United States in July 2020.

On review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, the film holds an approval rating of 14% based on seven reviews, with an average rating of 3.19/10.
