Maarten van den Bergh


Maarten Albert van den Bergh is a Dutch businessman.
Van den Bergh is the son of Maria Meijers and Sidney James van den Bergh, long-term chairman of Unilever and Dutch Minister of Defense in 1959. his grandfather Samuel van den Bergh was one of the founders of Unilever. Van den Bergh spent 32 years at Royal Dutch Shell, where he rose to president, and to vice-president of the committee of managing directors. In 2001, he left Shell to become chairman of Lloyds TSB, a financial services company based in the United Kingdom.
