alkylating agent

as a
chemotherapeutic
. It is
metabolized
by
cytochrome P450
into
4-hydroxycyclophosphamide
, which is then
converted
into
aldophosphamide
, which, in
turn
yields
the
cytotoxic
metabolites
phosphoramide mustard
and
acrolein
.
