Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation


The Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation Sdn Bhd, previously known as Multimedia Development Corporation, is a government-owned institution responsible for the management of the Multimedia Super Corridor in Malaysia as a technology industry and commerce zone.
The board of directors of the MDeC include major Southeast Asian technology investors, as well as the Malaysian Secretaries-General of the Treasury,
Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, and Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment & Climate Change.
In mid-2020, MDEC collaborates with Coursera to provide free online courses for unemployed Malaysian during the outbreak of COVID-19.
