Malo Hudo

Malo Hudo is a settlement just west of Ivančna Gorica in the historical region of Lower Carniola in central Slovenia. The Municipality of Ivančna Gorica is now included in the Central Slovenia statistical region.

Name

The name of the settlement was changed from Hudo to Malo Hudo in 1953. The name Hudo is derived from the adjective hud 'bad, poor' and, as in similar names, refers to poor soil quality in the region. In the past the German name was Pösendorf.
