Mararaba Mubi


Mararaba Mubi is a small town under Hildi district Hong local government area, the town consist of different tribes and languages include, kilba, margi and Fulanis. It is about 15 kilometres from Mubi town, Nigeria.
The main economic activities are farming and petty trading.

Early Settlers

The word kwarhi, is a margi Hildi dialect which means a pathway, it was first coined by ARNA GADDO at the same time was the first settler in hiragana Mubi, ARNA GADDO came from Hildi as a result of misunderstanding he had with his tribal people at Hildi his hometown, when he came to Mararaba Mubi, there was no sign of settlement at all then he settled and became the first settler and the founder of Mararaba Mubi. The early settlers in Mararaba Mubi are people from Hildi village which is just about 8 km away indeed Mararaba is just a name of the T junction as the real name of the settlement is Kwarhi Among first settlers are Ulea Nrvi,Jauro Abba,Ahamadu Liyarya and some fulani and kilba people who include, jauro Ahmadu from Maki and Ahmadu kila from Mubbula, Mubbula about few kilo meters away from Hong Town. Mubbula is one of several small Kilba villages in Hong local government area. It was reported to have been ruled by Tul Hulma.
A camerounian Nigeria residence whose work contributed greatly in cutting down the trees to cave the road for the T-Junction. Gaga and jauro Ahmadu really work hard for the development of Mararaba Mubi. Although Ahmau kila first settlement was in Uba he was there for forty years before coming to Mararaba Mubi, he came during the road network construction.

Economy

Mararaba Mubi's Friday market was first started at the mararaba mubi T-junction where the former mararaba mubi police station was first stationed, renting jauro abba's house. The Friday weekly market generates a major income - the market attracts so many people from nearby towns and villages. The main products of the market are grains, which includes groundnut, maize, beans, sugar cane etc., which means that, the majority of people of Mararaba Mubi are mostly farmers. So far, farming is becoming stronger and easy, especially with the modern system of farming, using herbicides and machinery have improved and increase their economy greatly.
The market is one of the largest weekly income of the local government.

Geography

The recent developmental buildings in Mararaba mubi include the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation NNPC mega filling station, Police Station Mararaba Mubi Division, Mararaba Mubi Central mosque, Barazza Hotel, and new private schools and hospitals. The history of Mararaba Mubi is as good as silver and gold because of its interesting records.

Mararaba Youths Development Association MYDA is the strongest association in Mararaba Mubi, it was formed about thirty years ago.
Mararaba is the name of the T-junction in the Hausa language widely spoken in the northern part of the country, Nigeria.
Mubi is a town in Adamawa state, Nigeria.
The major tribes are Fulanis from Digil as well as the Fali People from Vimtim. Names like Nuhu Auwalu Wakili are very common in the state. The Nuhu Wakili's family is the ruling family in the town. It is home to the state university, Adamawa State University
One of the tragic history in mararaba mubi, is that
of Boko Haram came to mararaba mubi on 29 October 2014 by 8~9am, gunshots every where, people ran into bush. They also captured mubi on the same day, group of hunters military troops finally helped to retrieve mararaba mubi and mubi from boko haram, the residence are away for more than a month, the worst and most tough ended in mararaba, as seen has more damages than mubi's.
