Marc Guehi


Addji Keaninkin Marc-Israel Guehi, commonly known as Marc Guehi, is an Ivorian-born English professional footballer who plays as a defender for Swansea City on loan from Chelsea.

Club career

Guehi began his youth career in the Cray Wanderers youth system, playing for the club from under-6 level through to under-9 level before being scouted and signed by the Chelsea academy. On 25 September 2019, Guehi made his professional debut for Chelsea in an EFL Cup game at home to Grimsby Town.
He signed for Championship club Swansea City on loan until the end of the 2019–20 season on 10 January 2020.

International career

Guehi captained the England under-17 team that lost to Spain in the final of the 2017 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. He was included in the squad for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup and scored in the final as England defeated Spain to lift the trophy.
In October 2018, Guehi progressed to the England under-19 team and scored in a friendly against Portugal. He also scored in 2019 Elite Qualifiers against the Czech Republic and Denmark.
In August 2019, Guehi was included in an England under-21 squad for the first time.
