Marching Knights


The Marching Knights is the official marching band of The University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida, USA.
Founded in 1980, the 350+ member Marching Knights are the largest and most visible student organization at the University of Central Florida. They are known for their high energy performances and varied musical selections. The band performs at each home UCF football game and select away games, home sports games, as well as any bowl games and other special occasions. Recently, the band has traveled to the 2018 and 2019 New Years Six Bowls, including the Peach Bowl in Georgia and the Fiesta Bowl in Arizona. The Marching Knights were also featured during ESPN's College Game Day broadcast, supporting the 2018 undefeated football Season. The Marching Knights also travel to perform at High School exhibitions including Bands of America and the Florida Bandmasters Association. Members represent a wide range of colleges and courses of study, and the organization is rich in history and tradition. The Marching Knights operate under the direction of directors, Dr. Tremon Kizer and Mr. David Schreier. Students also have the opportunity to become a member of student staff, a leadership position within Marching Knights that assist the directors in leading the program.
The Marching Knights require no auditions for wind players although drumline, color guard, majorettes, and dance team members must for a spot in Marching Knights.
Additionally, the UCF program allows for to participate as a member in Marching Knights.
Every year at UCF's homecoming football game, the Marching Knights Alumni Band Association invite Alumni to perform on the field, keeping tradition and relations with members strong throughout the years.
