Mariusz Mowlik


Mariusz Mowlik is a Polish retired footballer who currently is the Sports Director at Miedź Legnica.

Career

Mariusz Mowlik - ex-football player, defender, Polish National Team Player, Sports Director at MKS Miedź Legnica.
He is the son of Piotr, ex-footballer, goalkeeper and National Team Player and cousin of David Topolski.
His football career began in Poznan. He attended a football school SKS 13 Poznan. After graduating, he played in such clubs as: 1922 Lechia Kostrzyn, Polonia Środa Wielkopolska, Sokół Pniewy, Patria Buk. In 1999. He became a player of Lech Poznań. In 2003, he was loaned out to Polonia Warsaw. After six months, he returned again to Lech and played there for the next 3 seasons and winning Polish Cup and Super Cup in 2003/04. In 2006, he played Dyskobolii Grodzisk Wielkopolski. He was the player of the Austrian second division team SC Austria Lustenau. In 2007, he signed a contract with the Greek club PAE Aigaleo in the Greek Superleague. In early 2008, FIFA terminated his contract with the Greek club. Mariusz Mowlik returned to Poland and signed a contract with second-division then Polonia Warsaw. In the years 2008-2011 represented the ŁKS Łódź. In the 2010/2011 season Mariusz as team captain led ŁKS Łódź to promotion to the Polish Ekstraklasa. In 2011 Mariusz signed a contract with MKS Miedź Legnica and in the first season won promotion to the Polish 1 liga. Currently Mariusz is the Sports Director at MKS Miedź Legnica.

He was released from ŁKS Łódź on 6 June 2011.
In June 2011, he joined Miedź Legnica.
