Mark Hinkle
Mark Hinkle is an American libertarian activist and businessperson. He was the National Chairman of the United States Libertarian Party until 2012. He was elected by the delegates of the 2010 Libertarian National Convention in St. Louis, Missouri on May 30, 2010.
In 2010, he ran for the 15th District California State Senate seat that had been vacated when Republican Abel Maldonado was named Lieutenant Governor. He lost to Sam Blakeslee in a special election held August 17, 2010.Views
In 2011 Hinkle, who supports a non-interventionist foreign policy, criticized then-President Obama's speech on the War in Afghanistan, stating that the U.S. has no business fighting a war there. In 2012, Hinkle criticized Obama and the Bipartisan Senate Committee for putting economic sanctions on Iran.
