Martin Österdahl


Erik Martin Österdahl, is a Swedish author and television producer who worked for SVT between 2008 and 2014, fixed broadcasts of Mästarnas mästare, Allt för Sverige and Skavlan for the channel. Österdahl is the current Executive Supervisor for the European Broadcasting Union.
In 2016, Österdahl debuted as an author with the book Be inte om nåd.

Eurovision Song Contest

In January 2020, it was announced by the European Broadcasting Union that Österdahl would replace Jon Ola Sand as the Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest after the final of the contest taking place in Rotterdam in May 2020. However, due to 2020 coronavirus pandemic in Europe that cancelled the Eurovision Song Contest of 2020, Österdahl became the new Executive Supervisor of the Contest effectively.
Österdahl had previously been the executive producer of the and contests in Malmö and Stockholm respectively and was a member of the Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group from 2012 to 2018.
