Martin Hanlin


Martin Hanlin is a Scottish musician, manager and radio presenter. He formed and played drums in the Scottish band The Silencers. Hanlin recorded two albums with The Silencers the debut album A Letter From St. Paul and the follow-up A Blues for Buddah.
Hanlin left and went on to become manager to Scottish artists Carol Laula and Murmer before moving to the US and becoming a successful music publisher at Hamstein Records. There he worked with artists including Goudie, Sheryl Crow and ZZ Top.
Hanlin returned to the U.K and set up GMW Entertainment Group, a music publishing company. He also went on to produce albums for Candy Dulfer.
Hanlin worked as a music & management consultant with Simple Minds since 1998, he worked on Neon Lights, Cry, Our Secrets Are The Same, Silver Box, Black & White 050505, Graffiti Soul, Big Music and Walk Between Worlds.
