Martz (crater)


Martz is an impact crater on Mars, located in the Eridania quadrangle at 35.3°S latitude and 215.9°W longitude. Martz is east of the giant impact basin Hellas Planitia. It measures 97.0 kilometers in diameter and was named after American physicist and astronomer Edwin P. Martz. The name was approved by IAU's Working Group for Planetary System Nomenclature in 1973.
