Matteo Scozzarella


Matteo Scozzarella is an Italian professional footballer who plays for Parma as a midfielder.

Career

Scozzarella was born in Trieste. He made youth appearances for Atalanta, but did not made senior appearances for Dea, and signed with Portogruaro.
In Portogruaro, Scozzarella helped the team to get the promotion to 2010–11 Serie B, and in the end of the 2010–11 season, he signed with his first club, Atalanta.
On 17 July 2011, Scozzarella was loaned to newly promoted Serie B team Juve Stabia. After the loan, he returned to the Bergamo club, and was assigned with first team squad for 2012–13 season.
On 30 September, he made his Atalanta debut, in a match against Torino. In January 2013 he joined Ternana on loan until the end of the season.
On 30 August 2013, Scozzarella returned to Juve Stabia on loan. He was again loaned to Spezia on 31 January 2014.
On 29 October 2019, Scozzarella been given one-match bans for blasphemy during Serie A matches. There is a strict ban on taking God's name in vain in Italy.
