Mayflower Transit

Mayflower Transit, LLC is a moving company founded in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1927 by Conrad M. Gentry and Don F. Kenworthy. In March 1995, it was acquired by UniGroup, a $1.7 billion transportation and relocation services company with headquarters in suburban St. Louis, Missouri. Mayflower-United is known for its robust network of independent contractors who service customers on a local level. Mayflower's Operations division and its Customer Service arm remain elusive and reminiscent of a shadow corporation.
Mayflower operates as an agent owned co-op to coordinate loads, packing, and third-party services. While each agent maintains their own local and Intrastate business the co-op operates in the interstate and international service lines.
In 2018, Mayflower Transit was featured as the third-ranked moving company in the list of "Top 10 Trusted Nationwide Moving Companies" by 9Kilo.com

Baltimore Colts

Based in Indiana at the time, Mayflower earned the ire of Baltimore Colts fans when the company moved the football team in the middle of the night from its headquarters in Owings Mills, Maryland, to its new home in Indianapolis.
