McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture


The McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture is a museum located on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. Built in 1963, exhibits focus on natural history, archaeology, anthropology, decorative arts, and local history.
The Museum hosts various changing exhibits of art, history and culture. The Museum's current temporary exhibition is entitled "Visions of the End" and features medieval and Renaissance art loaned from several institutions including the Free Library of Philadelphia, the Glencairn Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Morgan Library and Museum, the National Gallery of Art, and the Walters Art Museum, offering visitors a rare chance to explore medieval and Renaissance art of the Apocalypse in works never before displayed in Tennessee
