Medanta is a multi-specialty medical institute based in Gurgaon in the National Capital Region of India. It was started in 2009, with cardiac surgeon, Naresh Trehan. as its main director along with co founder Sunil Sachdeva and various others. The hospital has more than 1600 beds and has expanded its outreach to other cities including Lucknow, Indore and Ranchi. Lucknow is now getting its own 1000 bedded hospital.

Artis Zeego Endovascular Cath Lab a floor-mounted imaging system that provides advanced imaging and fulfills the requirements for treating complex cases such as high-risk patients and structural heart disease. Since the Artis Zeego allows procedures to be contained in one room, emergencies or complications can be handled immediately, thus lower the risk for patients.
Telemedicine
The Telemedicine program at Medanta is based on cloud computing, wherein a group of doctors are available over the web for video consultation from anywhere across the globe over any device be it a desktop, laptop, mobile or tablet. Patients pay by using their credit cards after consultation.
Acquisition Reports
The US-based PE fund Carlyle acquired 27% stake in Medanta from US-based Avenue Capital in 2013 at a valuation of $600 million. Further Singapore based company Temasek Holdings also owns shares in Medanta. It is reported that TPG and Temasek Holdings-backed Manipal Hospitals chains, has submitted a binding offer of Rs.5,800 crore. for purchase of shares of Medanta
