Mefjell Mountain

Mefjell Mountain is a large mountain rising to, standing west of Mount Bergersen in the Sør Rondane Mountains of Antarctica. It was mapped by Norwegian cartographers in 1946 from air photos taken by the Lars Christensen Expedition, 1936–37, and in 1957 from air photos taken by U.S. Navy Operation Highjump, 1946–47. It was named "Mefjell" by the Norwegians because of its central location in the mountain group.
