Megan Dunn (American politician)
Megan Dunn is an American politician and community organizer belonging to the Democratic Party. She was elected in 2019 to represent District 2 on the Snohomish County Council, which includes Everett, Mukilteo, and the Tulalip Indian Reservation. She succeeded Brian Sullivan, who was term limited and had been elected Snohomish County Treasurer.
In the primary election for the county council seat, Dunn competed with six other Democrats and Republican Anne Rohrbaugh from the Mukilteo city council. Rohrbaugh received about 35% of the vote compared to Dunn who was around 13%, but advanced to the general election. In the general election, Dunn beat Rohrbaugh by a margin of 55% to 45%.
Prior to running for the county council, Dunn worked for the SEIU and as a program director for the Northwest Center for Alternatives to Pesticides. She was also a leader on the Everett Districts Now campaign, which reorganized the Everett City Council into a district-based system instead of at-large seats.
