Mekitze Nirdamim


The Mekitze Nirdamim is a society for the publication of old Hebrew language books and manuscripts that were never published or have been long out of print. It was established first at Łęg, Kingdom of Prussia in 1864.
It was under the direction of Rabbi Nathan Marcus Adler, Moses Montefiore, and Joseph Zedner, Albert Cohn, Samuel David Luzzatto, Michael Sachs, Eliezer Lipman Silberman, and Mattityahu Strashun.
It was re-established at Berlin in 1885 under the supervision of Abraham Berliner, Moses Levi Ehrenreich, Joseph Derenbourg and David Günzburg, Solomon Joachim Halberstam, Abraham Harkavy, Marcus Jastrow, David Kaufmann, and Mattityahu Strashun.
