Mentor Civic Arena

Mentor Civic Arena is a 1,600-seat ice arena located in Mentor, Ohio. It is home to a number of high-school hockey teams as well as the Mentor Ice Breakers of the Federal Prospects Hockey League. In addition to the main west rink, Mentor Civic Arena also has a second regulation-size rink and a smaller studio rink. The arena is part of the larger Civic Center Park, which includes a water park, a skate park, and an amphitheater that hosts concerts and other special events.

History

Mentor Civic Arena was opened in 1982 and originally only had one rink. In 1997, a second rink was added to the facility, and the arena began hosting more major events as a result.
On July 23, 2018, the Federal Hockey League announced that they would expand to Mentor with the Mentor Ice Breakers to play out of the Mentor Civic Arena. This marked the first time that the arena would be home to professional hockey.
