Mhaswad


Mhaswad or Mhasvad is one of the oldest cities in the Maan/Dahivadi taluka in the Satara district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Mhaswad is situated on banks of Manganga river which is the lifeline of Maan tehsil. The city is surrounded by small villages majorly populated by nomadic peoples and stands as the only city as market for the area. Historically this place was ruled by Mane, a Maratha clan. Mane is a Rashtrkutas Dynasty.
