Michael Howard, 21st Earl of Suffolk


Michael John James George Robert Howard, 21st Earl of Suffolk & 14th Earl of Berkshire, styled Viscount Andover until 1941, is an English peer. He succeeded his father, Charles Howard, 20th Earl of Suffolk, in 1941, when the latter was killed by a bomb he was attempting to defuse. Howard attended Winchester College but left after a year.

Early life and family

Suffolk was born on 27 March 1935 to Charles Howard, 20th Earl of Suffolk, and Chicago-born ballet dancer Mimi Forde Pigott.

Suffolk has been married three times:

He lives at Charlton Park, Wiltshire. He is also Earl of Berkshire, but signs in the name of 'Suffolk', his most senior title.
