Michael Newington
Michael Newington - British diplomat (-1932). Counsellor, Embassy, Israel 1975-1978, Head of Republic of Ireland Department, Foreign and Commonwealth Office 1978-1981, Consul-General, Dusseldorf 1981-1985, Ambassador to Venezuela 1985-1987, Ambassador to Brazil 1987-199. He was born on July 10, 1932 and died on April 20, 2018. He was awarded the Companion of the Order of St Michael and St George, the Knight Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George.
