Michele Geraci
Michele Geraci is an Italian economist and politician with an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He is known for his expertise in Chinese economics, having spent many years abroad in China, where he became fluent in Mandarin. He is currently Undersecretary of State at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development, responsible for international trade and foreign direct investments.
In 2016, Michele Geraci was awarded the title Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy for his work in the fields of economics and finance concerning the economic ties between Italy and China.

Michele Geraci was appointed as Undersecretary of State at the Italian Ministry of Economic Development in June 2018 in the Conte Administration.
Geraci has been active in the past as a finance professor and investment banker in New York City and London, having spent 30-years abroad in the UK, China, US, Finland, France, Hungary, and in Latin America.
There he was Head of the research programme on Chinese Economy at the Global Policy Institute of London and in the Nottingham University of Ningbo, China and from 2010 taught at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou, China.
From 2015, he taught at the New York University of Shanghai, China.
