Flangini is seen as chiefly significant as a transitional figure between two Colorado Party colleagues whose personal relations were sometimes fraught with difficulties: Francisco Antonino Vidal Silva, whom he succeeded as President, and Máximo Santos Barbosa, who in turn succeeded him.Death
